This is the opening of a report I am preparing for the Asian Development Bank, Environment Department, under TA 5840 Cleaner Production. The text of this Acrobat file was used as a handout at the Asia Pacific Roundtable on Cleaner Production held in Manila in early March 2001. It includes the Handbook introduction,  discussion of industrial ecology and cleaner production, and cases from Thailand and the Philippines.

This material has not yet been reviewed by ADB and should not be taken in any way as reflecting Bank policy.

The final release of the full new Handbook will be in Summer 2001. We will announce it at this site when it is available.
